I have two original 412 swaybars at the rear coupled together. I also have stiffer springs in every corner. You will be suprised how much faster you are in racetrack after you have changed the rear swaybar bigger.
Jani, have you a pic ?

Vey cool pictures, but your 'overhang' in corners is still too much for the track imo.

Yes I agree. Its really not so much a question of swaybars to get rid of the front end roll. Its a question of spring compression and even more so...of compression valving on the strut cartridges.
The valving will make more of a difference on very sudden roll movements while the spring tension helps across the board.

Today in the carage remembered this thing. This is totally "ghetto engineering", but it helped. Sorry about the bad quality picture again...

Well, its obvious you have tied two rear sway bars together and if it stays in its place, its well done! :D

I see you have the tranny and engine out for the winter. What are the plans for the new season?

For a while this project has been waiting but for the next season we will be on track again, at least that´s the plan. We have been fighting against the rust and lot of welding has been done. After that the chassis will get a new colour.

Old 1700 cc engine has been updated with 92 mm cylinders to test modified heads. If the heads will work we use them in a new 71x94 engine.

Original fuel cell will be removed and replaced with security fuel cell. That gives us new opportunities to make modifications. For example master brake cylinder will be mounted there and we will also make a cool air tunnel from the front end to transmission to keep tranny oil cooler.

We will also raise the rear base axle and the other mounting points to get the engine higher and the rear wheels to better position.

Maybe we install also 091 transmission, if we have time.

That could be (could!) a stronger tranny, but it has very short differential/gears. Will you then change out gears or are the speeds on your track not so high that you run out of rpm with a 091?

That is true. It means we lose 8 km/h top speed using 091 transmission (Code DK).

With new gears we get better ratio and as told, stronger transmission. Maybe we shuold destroy one 412 transmission first to see what it takes to brake one

No massive change for 2009, only install EDIS on Mégasquirt. Maybe install front fender fiber....

I think you will get the new material soon, because we are now working weekly with the chassis.
