Ah, on the back (towards the front of the car, it will be flats, and the fronts will be trimmed for airflow and engine lid closing
I'd go with rounded end caps. Most pressure vessels have rounded end caps like Propane tanks etc. I'm pretty sure Marty Staggs did some research on that and you'll see most intakes even the inline 4's will NOT have flat end caps.

What was the reason or improvements on round caps? Towards the lid there is just no room..
Can’t find 4’’ caps in 3mm either..

Round caps won't flex with pressure whereas flat ends will tend to bulge a bit when pressurized.

At 25 lbs. there probably won't be and issue unless he uses paper thin plate........

Sounds like he's using .120 thick stuff. He'll be fine as high as he want to go.

Everything is 3mm/.120’’ except the trumpets. They are 2mm.
The tube from turbo to IC is 1,6 my steel.
Won’t burst

It's been a while
A lot have hapened.
New heads (old ones leaked on the outside of the valve seat) and new ones are cheaper than fixing.. They also where a set with longer valves, and V8 springs. Not the easiest on 044 style heads.
New heads are still 044 Wedgeport 44/37,5 but the new style. Looks good with the new combution chamber.

I also made sure the front gearbox mount won't bend again..

V-bands welded between intake and IC

And how it looks with almost all the bells and whistles

In other news,
The new gearbox is complete, in Norway, axles etc. fitted and mounted in the car
Girkasse.jpg
I've also bought a new 50mm Tial blow off valve, and new 215/65-15 MH DOT slicks. If they could brake the last gearbox in half, they should be able to get me in the 9's...

Or run both. Seems like it could do with all the help it can get.
