No push rod to tube clearance issue ?
For me the springs get in the way when spinning push rods checking "0" lash , I just put a bead of Silicone around the end of the tube in the head, they never move.

It was designed to move and on a bigger, wider engine this long, they need
to move about .040" at the head!
The Dirko goes on the ENGINE side to keep THAT side from moving. That is what
the springs are for, to keep it pushed into the engine case...

Is there another Deutz engine type tha has the same bolt pattern witj tje type z4 but with smaller bore?

I agree , i was trying to find ways to avoid cutting the spiggots on the case.
What thickness is required at the cylinder jug where it mates with the case.?
What would be an acceptable min thicknes.?

109mm is STD to be used with 103 bore jugs.

Mine has a scat C55 with 10.5 to comp and runs very cool . I'll have power figures late next month .

a million years ago I had a set of 100mm P+Ls for a Type 4 ,
They were made in Japan , I think NPR
Not sure what you mean about the 912 cylinders since they are 82.5 mm I think.....

912 and 913 Deutz are 102 and 100mm standard bore .

Will these only fit in a type 4 case or could you also fit them into a type 1 case?
