But you had already bought that neat looking Jaguar wheel arch. What happened to that one? I would have loved to see the result with that one installed as this is a typical rust spot on every type 4 car.

Oh that one. It´s ment for my wife´s car. It might be useful and look a bit like the 412 original with some extra work. Repairing would have been difficult, because it requires to change inner wheel arch also so I figured it was too expensive for this project.
Here you can see the profile of the X40 Jaguar edge:

Ok, i thought, when i saw you had bought that Jag part, that you had a great eye for body parts if you picked that part by browsing some catalogue...
By the way, i know one 411 here in Finland that had had it's rear wheel arches repaired with Volvo Amazon or 144 pattern parts (cannot remember which one it was). So if you want some repair arches for your racer you could try those.

Hey, that looks fine for the inner. Shouldn't be too had to find reasonable arches- MKI or MKII Golf maybe?

This project still remains in my carage. I bought an old house 3 years ago and since then my freetime has been used with hammer and nails. I'll be back with this hopefully within next year.

At least you have been doing something constructive! (literally and figuratively)
I'm still looking the the other half of a set of BBC ARP2000 bolts to put in some 2L rods
