Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Re: my t4 in a notch build
Speaking of idle bypass / bleed screws. Will you guys tell me your method of synchronizing your ITBs? I have them all closed now.
I place the syncro-meter on #2 and #4, and balance both sides with the idle speed screws. It makes sense to me to balance the ITBs the way I have been, except possibly shoot for~100 rpm below the actual target. Then take the lowest flowing barrel and open its bypass just a touch to bring it up to the average. Then iterate this procedure again. Is that right?

linkage disconnected, get them in the neighborhood with the idle speed screws. Then I adjust idle bypass screw till all 4 TB's are exactly the same. I use a old school Uni-Syn tool to do this.

I have a set of the same wheels from a 986 in 17x7 and 17x8.5. I bought the wheels in 1999 and still haven't installed them. Things take me a long time.

Baja-it, yup I want it to run and drive good, then maybe get around to making it pretty or not since it does have character.

Re: my t4 in a notch build
I paid a grand for mine with new boxster tires (which are too tall and wide to use). They have sat in my shed for almost 12 years waiting for me to finish other projects. I did get my BSME in the interim at least... :p

Supa, hit that thing with some flat or satin clearcoat, the patina/look is perfect as it sits.

Clear satin coat would be the bee's knees.
So I finally installed the fuel pump mount that I cast, it fits! I noticed that the fuel pump priming pulse was a noticeably louder, after looking at this pics I see why

I also prettied up the front calipers with some caliper paint I had laying around, the PO painted them with some ghetto red spray paint and they looked like crap. All better now.

Saturday I'm going to put it in a huge car show, mostly American muscle. It will be interesting to see how the car goes over with the general public.
