Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
I'm actually back to normal now. My waste gate line had a hole burned into it so it was all goofy!
Once that was fixed I started at 10 up to 80% and 4000 rpms. That sucked and was really strange feeling. So I just changed all the 10 fields to 50. Boost cut set on 300 kpa and it's banging it pretty easy so I'm going to try backing it down. Or maybe I should increase the boost cut! Ha! No!
Isn't the number you enter into the field a percentage of how much it bleeds off? Like I'm on 50 so it bleeds off 50% of the air moving through it. In a pulse width manner?

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
So what I interpreted the manual to say is the number your putting in is duty cycle. IE the percent of time it’s closed ( normal ) or open ( inverted ).buguy wrote:I'm actually back to normal now. My waste gate line had a hole burned into it so it was all goofy!

Also found a quote in the MS3 manual that says max boost is utilized in a very harsh manor as it’s designed to save an engine. Where as we use it similar to a rev limiter. Explains why it’s so violent.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
I hadn't intended to use it as a rev limiter.... But I couldn't get the boost down, so I was glad it was there. I have a feeling I'm going to end up around the 30 mark for duty cycle to keep it off the cut.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
As some cooler weather creeps in to the east coast I can’t help but notice that My AFRs are off from what they are tune to. Did I miss a setting in TS?
I was reading last night about AFR target and EGO. EGO seemed right but I’m not sure any clarification would be great.

Good question. I've been wondering what is going to happen with mine as it cools down. Kind of excited to see how it reacts to cooler IAT's.

So I’m not sure mine is adjusting to air temps. I’m just showing leaner AFR which is making me think I’m missing something setting wise.

Wonder if there is a MAT correction kinda like they use for heat soak. But maybe yours is the other way and the IAT sensor is getting cooler ?

Would that only be if you were map based tuning?

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
No I meant MAP. Wouldn't it change with weather like it does in elevation?

Ah I see. I don't know that i have seen a ton of change, but I suppose it's probably reality.

I’m in MAP based currently so I’m not sure if I need ego on for it to work
