Comp height is 1.10, 22mm pins, ring pack is 1.2 X 1.5 X 3MM.

Don nice pistons,should be able to use those with a large crank. Wondering if these are true forged units.

Yes all their pistons listed Forged are Forged pistons and the Keith Blacks are Hypereutetic.

Why would you think their not ?

Some companies call their spun-cast pistons forged because they are *supposed*
to be as strong as forged.

I can assure you that JE doesn't....
;)

The Carillo Pistons that I have are sweet units and ARE forged.

Don the Pistons you have are CP Pistons Carrillo only makes rods, CP & Carrillo are together now and
both are owned by Pankle: http://www.cp-carrillo.com/

And the guy who owns Pankle lives right here in southern california.

Don't think I'd trust a 2879cc in the air....

Still haven't found anyone to bore the cyls....I got them cut to spec
but I don't hvea boring bar and they are expensive, MORE than the usual
cost of boring cyls....

The boring of those things must be a bitch. Will they do it on a real boring then honing machine, or on a mill or lathe?

There is no VW machine shop (besides my dad) closer to me than Rocky in ww washington (400 miles away).
