I ended up making my own shock setup using revalved Bilstein SGs up front, welding proper spherical bushings on each end, fronts got resis courtesy of kyb... and the main shock body shortened an inch but maintaining full travel, (thus resis) Out back are revalved/reworked fox truck shocks originally for a chevy 1500 van... Coil overs front and rear, the std springs serve as roll bars/anti squat and dive.(t3, all are splined)

This was due to the Bilstein "7100s" actually being nickel plated 6100s, not take aparts like real 7100s, new tactic from Bilstein, sell the old stuff with different paint for more money as something more expensive. I have no idea what real 7100s are called these days.
(looks like the 7100s are now "m 7100" and "m 7100 classics" are what used to be 6100s, latter not user serviceable like real 7100.

I put a lotta miles on the beast, swapped in an 003 automatic, hoot to drive, currently still down for a final drive fail but have a new R&P... welded new flanges and spacers up from a couple bus axle stubs to convert the 003 to t4 flanges (early 003) may end up with a 090...

Theres another thread here somewhere with the pics etc for what I ended up with.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
