Garrick I thought this may interest you . No compression leaks , 103mm bore . 1mm copper gasket . high 10's compression 20,000km .

Sorry to hijack this, but who sells those 1mm copper gaskets wreck, I am looking a long time now, but can not find them.

Hi Edgar , I cut them out of a sheet of copper ,just used a jigsaw to rough them out ,then slowly with a linishing belt and a sanding flapper wheel in a drill . It took about an hour a gasket .
No matter where you go , there you are !

That's really good ,not a hint of a leak. I'll be the cylinder heights when installed in the case are perfect. I spent a very long time getting my cylinder heights right.
Wonder how it would fair with a turbo on it

Thats very nice, Wreck! Did you cut chambers in the heads for the gasket? Or dp you use them as additional deckheight?

Just additional deck height Mark . 0.003 " deck plus the 0.040 gasket . The. engine has spun over 7000rpm , no marks on the pistons from touching the heads . Even with the carbon build up . (oil from guide wear) .

Very Nice Wreck. Good to see that this solutiin worked out good for you! Did you also re-torque the heads every x km?

No re-torque but I didn't use the factory torque . 30ft/lbs is what I went with .
