That's actually a pretty good idea Lee. I had never even considered that.

I held the last pipe up with two stands and held the bend up tp the collector. Then used a protractor to see what angle I was missing.
If I where to build a lot of exhausts, I would get a vertical bandsaw, and a piecut angle kit.

Yes, the collector is double slip, so I’ll weld the runners individually

Thanks!
Was a 3.5 quart Berg sump. Should be ~7 or 7.5 quarts now.
Will add a couple of 5/8’’ aluminium rods through it for strength, because I cut out the casted supports.

Sump all welded up and clocks in at 5.9 litres or 6.25 quarts. I don't think it was 3.5 quarts to begin with
I poured water in it and let it sit for 30 min or so, not a drop spilled
I'll do one extra brace to the block for a bit more piece in mind.
As for the longer pickup.. The extension I have now seems to be soldered on. I want to TIG the new extension on, but guess the solder will melt. Maybe I should just remove the exstension I have, and build a new one?

That's a good feeling! Man I didn't notice it before, but that intake going into your plenums is huge! Is that 3"?
