This thing is fun I plan to just drive and enjoy!!

How much water/meth are you injecting????

3 gph, with an AEM progressive controller.

I think that my IAT sensor is somewhat slow to react.

Got a few miles on the clutch and all I can say is the old one slipped I think all the time! This thing rips through gears! Speaking of gears!

Got my gear sensor to work off my driven wheel!

Not 100% sure how to utilize it for tuning just happy the experiment worked.

Next up is an oil temp sensor.

What would you pay for a 1915?

Seems to me more cc's is always better on the street. Lowcash John here has had great success with AJ, but many others haven't. So at least be aware before buying from him. You cant question the success he has though. He is said to make some fine heads, it's just the rest of his business practice that is in question.
The problem is you really can't build a 1915 without doing something with your heads, so your really kind of stuck with a full build doing that. Although you could just have the heads you have opened up for 94mm pistons, but I can't imagine they would be great. Still limited with the stock valves.
I like the thick wall 92mm pistons and some CB panchito heads! Would make a nice robust bottom end.

Turbo/EFI Baja

Thanks for the info. I have been curious about AJ for a bit. I bought my header from him and felt like I could have easily gotten cheated as I don’t think customer relations is his strong suit.

About the engine question.

So there is a guy selling a 1915 long block local for around $2k, I’m debating trying to find the cash for it.

I am waiting on a parts list before i get serious.

Also not sure how much a 1915 goes for?

I'm not sure either. But after seeing the engine I have now apart, I wouldn't pay much for a used engine. Mine has been line bored 3 times and thrust cut twice. Basically junk.
Have a look at this. How much would it cost to just build a new one?

And then just add a case to suit. This isn't top of the line stuff, but the used one surely isn't either. And this way you know what you've got.

i brought a "running" 1641 once and then stripped it without starting it, had one 1600 piston and bore on it, and spun rod bearing, cracked heads ect.....

Thanks, it’s starting to look like it’s to go to be true. I’m going to sleep on it.

Well you never know. But there is a good chance it will also be too high of compression for you too. Might be worth it though. Cylinder shims are cheap.

The guy sent me a link for a CB performance 1915, so all in all good parts all around. Though he bought it from someone else from what I can tell. That said the photos look off; IE valve covers aren’t the ones offered, the flywheel is rusty. Maybe I’m just talking my self out of it. But I am thinking I’ll just sock cash away and finish the things I need to on the Baja this winter. Like breaks and cleaning up my wire loom. Also maybe an e85 prep with injectors. That and water meth I can run it hard.

Yeah it's just a roll of the dice. Price isn't bad though. I paid $600 for my stock engine. It was on a run stand and I could listen to it run.
