Nice how the turbo directly into the intercooler blows!
I say: good progress still. Small steps also make one big one hey ;-)

Added some more aluminium to the bend, but thinking of chopping it off and welding a 3” bend there for less restrictive inlet

Not the best picture...

The new turbo is a Borg Warner S257SXE.

Should be good for this engine.

Lookin' good but, not trying to be nasty here, if you have both tires go flat or one a big bump is the exhaust system high enough to not get damaged?

Don't know. The sump is lower, and it'll see minimum action outside the track. If a tire pops at 120mph, I've got more problems than the exhaust scratching the surface

That's probably true! You build looks pretty good, it was just that one picture that got me curious.

I’ll take a ground clearance picture tomorrow.

It’s not that bad actually:)

I am sure you are correct clearance wise. I just brought it up as a "just-in-case" so all bases are covered. Always keep friend in mind so nothing bad happens.

Thanks!

Thinking of it, the car will probably sit on the rear valance if the tire blows..

Low as almost can be!

Being a bit silly here but in the late 50's or early 60's when low riders were the thing ,before it became high riders due to drag racing, the low riders rule was a pack of cigarettes laid flat on the ground should just barely be slid under the frame. That didn't last long due to some bad accidents which is why the "rim rule" or 5" came in effect. That is: if the tire was flat nothing could extend below it and cause sparks or cause loss of control.
