Just made a truly sad discovery today! the z-bar bolts to the body, no way I can put it on my fiberglass buggy! I was in love with that design too. and strange bulges under my body make it very likly that even if I made mounts I would have clearence issues.
due to the massive weight bias in a fiberglass buggy, the biggest things I am fighting is jacking and understeer, so a HD front sway bar and a camber compensator that is NOT anchored in the middle would be the best thing for a street toy the way I see it. obviously a shimmed Z bar would be better, but no such luck.

give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.
Things are rarely just crazy enough to work, but they're frequently just crazy enough to fail hilariously.

Re: The Camber Compensator
I've been debating and reading through things here on this thread and the others related to suspension.
Are there pitfalls to running both a shimmed factory z bar and a compensator such as the Empi (strap style) or the Sway Away Style?
Is there a such a thing as store bought Z bar that is more capable? I say store bought but can one buy the parts for a reasonable price and swap out the bars like you can with a splined sway bars. I do realize what I've described is basically a splined sway bar with opposing arms, but what size bar would you get? Hollow or solid? What length arms, of course adjustable arms would let you vary the rate.

BTW, I did this with my empi CC...
bumpstop + U-bolt = works like a charm
