Grow up and get a name.
Dont slate the car because you dont like it. The body work is immaculate, I dont say I like it, but give the guy the respect he deserves for building something of that caliber and so different from the rest.
First of all I am Arnolds64. I do not know why it did not come up. Second of all I am grown up (48 but youthful) that is probably why I guess I can't except this car as tasteful. I am getting OLD! Shiot I have become my Dad, set in my ways! Not that!!!!

Come on, would you pick up a date in that car? I think even the rice crowd may laugh at it trying to be a pretender. If you like that look buy rice. Don't deface a German car like that. It is like a Transsexual. It looks like a women but no matter how much plastic surgery you do the male part will not go away. Rice it up as much as you want but it is still German underneath.

Guess some people are not open minded or, in my eyes, not even car enthusiasts. bet you only like cars that are "like yours".....too bad really, be nice if you could "appreciate" a 68 camaro, 41 willys, v-12 jag, a customized t-bucket, maybe a decked out woody..or any other creations for "what they are"......but hey!....atleast you found enough time in your day to let this guy know that you think his creation is junk........

I am changing my mind?

I thinking I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning japanese, I really think so! ( you know the song) Sing along.

LOL! No harm no foul just thought that it fits.

I tell you though it is quality work even though it is not my taste. I really think this is fun though. Car talk is always opinionated and it is fun to dog each other. Really in no way do I want hurt feelings. I think it is a generational deal though. This site I believe is more for purest more mature crowd? He should have known he would catch allot of shiot with his pictures.

Quite right, we are all here to talk shop... but who's shop? yes I was singing along too.

WOuld I pick up a date in that car??? Probably not, but as I said, I dont like it that much either (my personal taste). But I do pick up my date in my car, even though it is a bug (cringe)--- but its MY bug, I took the time to build, and rebuild it and I am PROUD of my work.
If you cannot be proud of your car, then why do it??

As for the ricers looking at the car... well first I think they wouldnt know what it was, then probably say it looks good, but why do it to a bug??? then put that STI engine to the works and the guys will be running with their tail between their legs.... Thats the way I like it. Get them laughing at you, tell them to put their money where their mouth is and then make them pay, with everyone watching....

For what it's worth, I think it's GREAT.

Not MY style, but DEFINATELY not rice.

IMHO, if you have 400 HP in a ~2000 lb car, you can have as big a wing as you want, and it's STILL not rice.

Details on the motor, Sir!?
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I respectfully disagree.

Rice is about nothing BUT fiberglass (and fart cans) ;-)

I have seen some wild Supras with 700+HP...
IMHO, if you stuck a Outlaw sprint car wing on top of a 700HP car, it would STILL not be "Rice". (In fact, it might be a good idea...)
