I was thinking of that cam for my 78x103 naturally aspirated mild street engine. I have tried two different 86Bs (108 and 114 LC) in 2.3 liter T1 engines. I now run a custom 115LC 86A and I love it. After over-camming many different builds I'm getting smarter about it...

SInce it was turbo'd, I wanted to keep the lift to .500 and up the duration.
Easier on the springs.....

The 86B setups I ran lifted to 0.583" with Scat 1.4 (1.53 actual with this setup) geometry. Now with the same rockers but 86A I'm lifting 0.520. Much happier. I removed some shims and dropped from 355 to 325 punds over the nose pressure (4047 bugpack springs).

Awesome Project Don! I have Deutz cylinders aswell and had to do the same mods basically.Additionally I had to machine the grooves where the headstuds go through because the cylinder spacing is to wide, even with the time-cert bushings for the 8mm Raceware headstuds.I have a different series cylinder though.Mine has a 102mm bore stock.I have the CP pistons on order then the engine will be finished! Are you back in the States now or still in Rammstein?

Damn...it´s too bad we never had the chance to meet while you were here! But I´m sure you´re glad to be back home! I have the chance coming up to work in Mobile, Alabama...but I hate skeeters and I hate snakes! Beautiful area though! Who knows the company might send me anyway to train people there.

Twin t28´s? Nice! Why did you decide to go twin turbo? Will you be running efi? Which ECU?

Where would one find a place that does this? Did you do the case polishing yourself or?

Sears' polishing kit comes with three different polishing sticks and bonnets....
;)

Expect to spend a whole day just deburring the case before spending a hard 24-30 man-hours
polishing the case.

It would cost $200-$300 to get one polished....

I just spent 3 hrs grinding the welds on the plenum and am only half done!

Been there done that, don't like the mess it involves. Even though I used a good mask it felt like I had boogers in my nose for a week after polishing all the aluminum on my old Harley.

Just a small part ....

Nice!!!!! With the right suspension it would be possible. There's a race taxi T1 with a 500hp twin turbo Porsche engine/G50 trans at Spa that does those speeds. It's been widened and heavily modified but no spoilers..
