Does the computer make any kind of noise when you plug in the cable? Some kind of "something got plugged in" noise. I'm trying to remember if there was an issue with my USB setup at one point. I may have had the in and out wires mixed up. Once I switched them it worked fine. It's been so long since I wired it though, I can't remember for sure.

No noise.
I’m gonna wire a new cable tonight and try it again. It’s frustrating so close to it running again!

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
I’m at a loss right now.
Wired a new cable, checked continuity with meter before and after pinning connector.
Checked all fuses and relays to include in the MS box. All checked good all powered up appropriately.
Installed drivers for d2xx I think? It is the only thing I’m super unfamiliar with.
If anyone had any Mac and MS secrets please do tell. I’m going to ask around for a cheaper windows net book or something to try and remove my computer as a questionable item from the equation.
Did get the new header installed. Photos to follow. But running out of steam to work with out being able to connect a computer and make any progress.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
I bought a cheap Lenovo laptop at "Best Buy" which I use exclusively for the buggy. It is for tuning and I also take on trips of any length so I can tune when gone from home and also I can download any pics or videos I capture to put on my build page.
I think I $225.00 for it.
It's not the fastest thing but it works for what I need it to do. There are cheaper ones if you can handle a smaller screen but with my old eyes I need a little bigger one.
I just installed an 800 watt inverter that powers the computer perfectly. I picked it up at a swap meet for something like $10.00. It was worth taking a chance that it didn't work...but it works great. The battery only lasts for about 2.0 hours due to the bright screen I need in order to see it when in the buggy.
I also have the bluetooth connector plugged into the ECU so I just have to get in the buggy and it connects as soon as I start it up.....

I would like to have Bluetooth. Seems like a worthwhile upgrade.

What cable are you using with your Mac? I struggled with a cheap cable for ages, then brought a fdti chipset one and it worked right away....

I have been using cheaper ones, I’m thinking I might remove everything and start over. Then maybe try a windows computer.andy198712 wrote:What cable are you using with your Mac? I struggled with a cheap cable for ages, then brought a fdti chipset one and it worked right away....

No worries. Looking at inverters now for the Blue Bomber. Also borrowing the wife’s lap top. I’ll give it a try maybe this afternoon.
