They sent the arms to the fab shop and said they are right. So, I cut off my pivots and started over from scratch. Still no luck, way to much camber at ride hieght. Looks like I will be calling Avery's and having a custom set of arms made.

WEAK. No amount of adjustment available? How about cutting off the inside bung of the upper arm and shortening a bit... that would bring your camber in... maybe ask one of the CAD suspension guys to give up some ideas?

Actually MB, its the rear arms. I even cut off the inner pivots and set them up again, with no help.

The front suspension is good to go!

Devastator, nope, not those parts at all, they are great. Its the actual 3x5 arms that have horrible camber at ride height.

Since I now have to purchase some new custom arms, why not build something like this? I built my front suspension, the rear looks about the same in difficulty level in the terms of fabrication. These were taken from a Chenowth chassis and the rear is very similar. What are the pros and cons to this type of suspension versus the typical IRS style?

Pro - maybe use non-plunging CV's. I was looking at a super sweet Artic cat wildcat the other week, it has non-plunging cv's and they flex pretty good.

Was that a 2013 red limited you wewe looking at?

It is a nice ride with 18" of travel all the way around.

On your existing arms with the bad camber issue is there someway that you could rework them to get rid of the problem? Tim reworked an arm that had a camber problem on his green bug. Just seems that would be easier and get you to the dirt quicker.

Have you tried rotating the inner pivot mount around the torsion housing? That can affect camber a lot.

JUSS and Dev,
I cust off the inner pivots and installed new ones. I verified my torsion housing was level also. When installing the new pivots to try and fix this problem, to get the camber correct at ride hieght, the pivots would have to hang below the torsion housing! It would take that much movement to make them work, and then they dont want to line up on the ends of the torsion. Im not really wild about cutting the arms and trying to bend them either. I dont want to create a weak point. Anyone done that?

I went back thru your thread to look at the arms you are using. Without all the microstub stuff on have you checked what the angle of the plate at the end of the arm where the unit bearing bolts on at ride height? Since microstubs bolt on can you add a washer or some other kind of shim to help reduce the amount of camber? Is it possible that you have say two left side arms instead of a right and a left?
