My 1967 turbocharged Beetle (more pictures added 6/23/06)

Post by MinamiKotaro »

Sorry about the glare. These were taken by the cheapest digicam I could find. The majority of my pictures didn't come out. I need to read the instruction manual and figure out which mode is "outside" mode. Then I'll have better pictures to post! For now, enjoy.

A visible clue that this isn't an ordinary Beetle!

My decklid is on standoffs at the top and bottom, for clearance and extra cooling air.

The rear end of my car.

Driver's door open. Custom door panel was made by me! I think it looks rather nice. The passenger door has one, too, of course.

Moving inside, we see my gauge panel with tach, boost, and fuel pressure gauges. The tach is at least 25 years old and has seen duty on almost all of our cars.

A closer view of the gauge panel. Redline is 4800. Boost with the t3/t4 starts at about 3000 and reaches 13psi before redline in every gear.

Here are some pictures of my new intake utilizing a 50mm Ford TB. It works MUCH better than the CB intake. All homemade.
