Cool idea. I started a blog for the same reason last year, but since I'm trying to pay off my student loan this year, I don't exactly have a lot of extra funds to restore my ride.

So... my blog became kind of a VW-themed/Mac news blog. I love Apple so when I don't have VW news, I right about the latest Mac news.

Since you're using Blogger, have you tried hosting your pictures on Flickr.com? Once you upload a picture, all you have to do is click on the "blog this" link to add it to your blog.
