IIRC, ~0.890" is what all the 914/Bus flywheels I checked out the other day measured... (one is essentially new refurb)

...and yes, they can be remachined. Both surfaces get the same cut.
Make sure you go somewhere that does it all the time.

OTOH, mine work fine at .890, so if you are having a clutch problem, that probably ISN'T it.
The FW doesn't wear all that much, but it might not be FLAT anymore, or it could be many other things.

You might want to describe the exact problem you are having here, preferably not in all caps, it's very hard to read, and is actually HOW YOU YELL on the net.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Thanks for the reply
Sorry about YELLING didnt know
Im new to PC key board stuff At work I type on
the CNC machines (PROGRAMS) its all Caps
Yeah I talked to Jorge at EMW he told me its 22.5mm
which works out to about .886in. The reason the first
post is my clutch is slipping in the power band its a 215mm
4 puck sprungcenter (clutch.net) at 2500-3000 if I sidestep or
Nail it to the floor it slips a little (HD 2.0 sachs plate)
I guess its time for a aftermarket pressure plate
which means balancing also I did cut the step down(.030)
it seemed to help some a little more pressure but not enough
Thanks Again

With a 2.8 in a 914, you might consider a HD plate an investment ;-)

Sounds like fun!!!

Just a thought---
I've been running a 228 Vanagon plate for years...In my 914. Yes. the starter engages fine.

Vanagon flywheels are forged, and just need the center of the FW reamed and the input shaft bearing pressed in.

MUCH more holding power with a 9" clutch, and if all else fails, Kennedy uses those on V8s...sells 228 plates good for stupid power that require a hydraulic setup to operate.

What ever you machine off you must space the little ball amr below the clutch arm. Install a spacer under it and use a thread sealant on the threads when reinstalling. It leaks otherwise.

Use the 911 clutch disc too with the six springs.

Make sure the disc isn't hitting the flywheel bolts if you cut alot off! Alot of times this is the case why the PP isn't holding the disc as well.
