Difference in heads 1.7 Porsche vs. VW

What is the difference between the porsche and vw heads.? I have a set of 1.7's the porsche# is 022101372 and vw is 0211013710. My question is can I interchange these two heads? If there is a difference what is it? Thanks for the info.

There is absolutely no difference in the two heads. Now...that being said, there is more than one letter code difference in the castings. The difference are very minor. Both heads were used on both VW 411/412 and Porsche 914. Made in the same factory, same combustion chamber...same casting. Ray
