I keep coming back to look, your Oval has struck a chord with me.
I have a couple of questions;
The grey repro BRMs. How do you like them? These are the ones I want.
The Wolfsburg squareweave carpet, how is that? Like it?
Man, you even have the rubber mat carpet combo. I require this as well. Not because its accurate, because of the wear factor. I won't be offroading with my oval rag, but rubber mats are superior I feel.
Now i know why I want Polar silver, just look at it! Beauty.
The photos are great. I am still up in the air about an engine, 36er or something much larger, much much larger. I am not experienced in high HP motors however.
My boy has been wearing Prarie beige since '56, time for a new suit of Polar silver. I am in the final stages. Front and rear clip work and the semaphores grafted in. Don't worry, I am not looking for a car to copy. Just inspire.

Hey Dennis,
Thanks for the compliments on the car....it's been almost 3 years for me now and hopfully this is the year!
As for the wheels on my car.....they are first generation BRM replica's and have a natural texture to the grey area....I love these wheels! Mooneyes has another wheel (speedmaster..I think) which would look equally as good with this car. I just bought a set of 5 bolt SprintStars to have as a second set of wheels....not sure but I think these will look good too!
As for the mats and carpet combo....I like it. Should be easy to clean and look good for a long time. I only went with German squareweave because I think it will last longer.
Obviously I'm not trying to keep the car original but I have tried to use as many original or to original spec items as I could find...with the exception to performace and accessories.
Would be nice to see your car....do you have pics posted on here?
Any advise I could give you would be to just take your time and mock-up...mock-up mock-up. Make plans and stick with them...changing things after paint and partial assembly is a pain....i've learned the hard way!
Thanks
Gerry
