How do I find the paint code for my original colour?

Hi all;

I'm doing a resto on my 60 Beetle and I'm not sure which blue it originally was. Is there anywhere in the VIN where that might be? Anywhere else I'd look?

Volkswagon Usually VW paint codes are stuck on trunk floor or pressboard panel. Look for a white sticker that has a 4 digit paint code starting with the letter “L” Sometimes paint code is located on left door jamb.
