New Type 2's

Not that I have the cash to buy one, and have it shipped, Volksworld advertises brand new Type 2 campers (from Brazil I assume) starting around $40K. I've heard they can not be made emissions legal here in Canada (or the states). Is this true? What could be the problem? Better cats, and better fuel, I would think would make the difference, no?

I think it would be cheaper to just move to Brazil.

Import one and have it shipped to your home, then 20 years later it will be legal under current law to start driving it. This assumes of course that we will still be able to buy gas 20 years from now.
