944 stubs in a 914?

I came across info that indicated the 924/944/Thing rear stub axles fit a 914.. Can anyone here verify that? I don't have a set handy to compare.
(The object of the excersize is converting to T4 CVs, since it's time anyway)
If this is the case, All I need is one pair of T4 flanges for the trans side, and relief cut the centers of the CVs so the 914 axles fit at the right depth.

I will have a set of 924 stubs in about a month.
You could borrow them to verify.
I do know that they will drop in a T1.
Have you cross ref'd the bearing package from a 914 to a T1/2/3?
That should yield a bit of info.

Thanks, Helo, but Bruce2 informed me in the transmission forum that it won't work, the splines are wrong for the 914 rear hub.
I had a feeling it was too good to be true...
I'll either hack off or buy a set of flanges from Weddle or such and weld on... I have a lathe & TIG setup at my disposal.

Pile, are you looking for a set of 944 sized gearbox side, output flanges?
If so, maybe the Bugat5speed components can help?

Perhaps, it's for a Porsche 901 trans.
Still need the outboard.
