I had troubles with my clutch this weak and found that I put the wrong cluth disk in. I didn't have a a new proper one, so I put a well used one in. There is a metal taping noise when the clutch is fully out (this includes neutral). what would this be caused by?

It sounds like a bent finger on the diaphram...or ...that same affect can be caused by a bolt being loose and not allowing full tension on te hpressure plate. It makes some fingers in the quadrant of that bolt sit higher than those next to it.
Did you replace the thrust bearing needles in the gland nut?
