Remote Filter locations: let's see some pics of location
Let's see some pics of different locations you folks have mounted your remote oil filter. Also what filter did you decide to go with. I'm consider inside the engine compartment and have an HP1 filter (longer sucker). Going to try the a PH16 for fit this weekend, same thread but two inches shorter. Any want to see what other folks have done. I've done some searching so if it's been done before, point me in the right direction. Going to post this in the Bay forum also.

I posted an answer to your filter related question in the Type 4um. I now have it in the space behind the rear wheel, laid on its side for ground clearance. I use a Mann or Mahle VW Diesel filter, which is about the size of an HP-1. When I change it, I puncture it and drain it before removing it from the adaptor.

Re: Remote Filter locations: let's see some pics of locatio
Here's mine, I made this bracket myself. I'm using T3 cool-tin and no T1 pushrod under-tin or whatever it's called. Before this gets into a grey area about blowing 'hot air' across the filter, it's getting a lot more air circulation in my book here (even if it is warm) than it would off to the side or wherever.
I've always run an HP1, aside from GB's mantra about it, I looked at some of the other remote ones on the market, I believe it was CSP, and they said the same thing, an HP1 was required. I have seen oil filter blow up one time, it was a small one though with a remote filter setup.
