It looks they installed a bug beam on the car. I personally don't like the front-end narrowed look on air-cooleds with the wheels way up in the wells, but food for thought anyway.

The brazilia does have type 1 suspension I believe. Never been a fan of the slammed look and useless leaning rear wheels.....to each their own. But I do adnire the excellent workmanship. Ray

That is a nice car! Love the 412 front look!! I like those rims too! Is the rear that way just in the off or park position or is that actually drivable? Did you see the Golf Rear engine setup? Also, did you see Vwfye's yellow flame wagen in the background of one of the other pics? Bill,jr.
p.s. Did you see the interior square pattern seat fabric? Is that a standard type?
p.s.s. Damn did you see the sweet rims on the flat black bug on page 117 with the SEm 19-55 plate next to the T3?? Super Rims!

The Brasilia is based on a Type 1 Karmann Ghia floorpan. It has a ball joint front suspension and swingaxle rear. That's why the rear camber was way off, it's a swingaxle car.
Despite it's striking similar styling in the front end, it's not a Type 4.

Yep, that's the car that was eventually turned into that green one with the wood paneling on the sides/BRM's/Tiki theme I believe.
