hi,
i'm just putting the hubs and new wheel bearings on the front axles.
it's 3 years since i stripped them so my memory's a bit rusty.
it's turned out to be a long job.
the inner bearing races aren't going on easily, probably due to some corrosion on the axle. (which i've now cleaned up)
anyway, three quick questions;
should the inner bearing races butt right up to the spacer ring at the steering knuckle?
should there be a few threads showing at the clamp nut end?
does it matter which way round the thrust washer goes? (one side has rounded edges)
thanks in advance, pete

Re: front wheel bearings
The inner bearing should end up sitting against the shoulder on the spindle. There is typically a thread or two showing. Don't think it is important which way the washer goes.
