type 4 porsche 914 exhausting system needed

Hi all, I am new here and do not know how it works here so dont yell on me in the case I do anything wrong. I am building engine to my vw buggy. It is 1,8 L type 4 from porsche 914 and I need a exhausting system. My old one is not very good I guess, because it is just in front of the cooling system and hot air is sucked into my engine. Do you have any advise for me, where to buy anything??
I hope I made everything clear, my english is not excellent...sorry fot that

Contact Chris at Tangerine Racing. I know he is in the States, but, with the exchange rates it might make it affordable. He makes Type 4 headers and might be able to custom make you something reasonable.

This looks like a type 4 or Porsche engine exhaust.

No, that is a T1 exh and one of the WORST!
I bought a 1 3/4" T1 exh($50)
and cut it to fit my EMW headers($25).
So now I have a 1 5/8" primary to a 1 3/4" step header.... pretty good for $75!
My welding skills leave a lot to be desired, but even with the buzz box(out of gas for the MIG)
I got a leak-free system!

He scored the T1 header for $50...
The EMW pipes would be a good deal if they had any QA.
As is, $50 is pushing it, much less $175
I keep threatening to cut mine up and redo them, or make some from scratch.

Sorry, got it at Bug-Jam 2009, in Chimay for EURO25, about $32 at the time.

Good lord, Don, if you ceramic coated that it would look pretty good...
Those are the FAT/Trimill head pipes... Cook the PR tube orings unless ceramic coated, and even then...
For offroad, visualize something similar done to a Bobcat header.
The EMW pipes are (supposed to be) the same dimensions as std heater boxes, they are reasonably close to equal lentgh, at least pipes on the same side, around 30mm different side to side.
A 1 5/8'>1 3/4" or even 1 7/8" step header with a good collector should work nice.
(Don't make the collector too large, and maintain the taper, maybe 36mm ID at choke)
If one bent the tubing a little it could look factory made.

I used nothing, except the pieces from the T1 header, so it looks a little strange.
I just wanted to see if it could be done with little hassle and it was.
Except for stick welding headers, that's the bitch....
I bought some gas now, but I'll leave them as is.
They are good enough. I do not need perfection.
I think all that extra air from the Porsche fan will keep the tubes cool...

Hey Don, are those intakes gold plated?
And are those stub pipes from our deal way back when?

As for the EMW tubes, I think they went on a another motor, about
2 motors back....
I don't worry about cooking the PR tubes, I just spray them with NAPA
ceramic coat and bake as directed.....if you're really freaked out about
what they will look like inside after 200,000 miles, just put the largest
shrinkwrap you can find on them and bake it again....
I expect they will rust through from the outside, eventually....

It's only a 2316cc, with 9659 cam, 10.7:1, european gas, dual springs, rev limited to 6K,
so 1 7/8 might be a tad big for low-down torque. Who knows?
The collector is the one on the header, I only moved the primary tubes around a bit. I think
it is 2.25 inches. I used the 1 3/4 J-Tubes stepped them to 2 inches and made a dual quiet
pack arrangement, using two 2" U-bends and Suzuki mufflers....
