engine stand

I have a 72 bay window and am re-assembling the engine. I bought an engine stand from Harbor Freight (model 32916) but the adapter plate wont attach to the engine. Any one had this problem or can suggest a solution? Thanks for your help.

search the tools tips and tricks forum, there was a lengthy discussion about engine stands a few months back, its probably still on the first page as its a slow furm, but your stand may have been mentioned.
