My dad bought this 914 a couple of weeks ago. It's got a renegade small block chev conversion and some weird aero kit on it.
Has anyone seen this aero kit before?, if not it's probably a once off. It's surely not the prettiest kit I've seen before, but defenately something different.

This car was exported from Oregon USA to South Africa around 2001 according to the PO. But no other info was available.

Chalon maybe

The Chalon kit does look pretty similar.

That kit is not even close to a Chalon. It's one of the kits made for class racing.

It looks like a Groupe 5 kit, close to what http://www.americaninternationalracing. ... 6&page=107 makes, the manufacturer is probably out of business ?

I don't have a clue as to what it is, but I kind of like it for some reason.

The back end looks like a new camaro, the front kind of reminds me of Kitt, the sides like a Toyota MR2. Smart idea to vent the front fenders. Making it wider seems like it is trying to make the car more wide and stable for higher speeds like a supercar, but still with a short wheelbase I am always reminded of this:

Here's an quick update of the progress...
The car is 99% done, just a couple of small items left. We'll probably take it to the track once or twice and then put the car up for sale again to make space for our other projects.

Nicely done!! That thing will look and play the part for sure.

Where you plan to race it??

We'll most probably only track day the car a couple of times to sort out the handling and setup before putting it up for sale. It should be legal in a couple of classes locally.

The final to do list is getting pretty small now... only a couple of small items left. Hopefully we can have it ready for the next test / tune day which is in two weeks time.
