Anyone know of a place to purchase a trailing arm dust cap?
One of mine on the beetle, has apparently never been there!

If you are taking about the end piece of the cover I made mine then drove it in place. I cut a circle in some flat stock sheet, just a bit oversize then, as I said, drove it in. From what I have seen, I think they are all might be just a friction fit. I think paint will hold them in place besides the friction fit.
You might look at water jacket plugs for size too.

If you mean front trailing arm, I stuck a 25 cent quarter in there and siliconed it in. (black silicone).

Steve,
Sorry I did not specify that it is the rears.

I assumed that you meant the rears as one of mine came sans the piece. It tight, but not too tight; it then drives in from the inside fairly easily.
