I've seen a few good technical topics on here, so it seems a good place to be for air cooled information.
We have a 1972 Wesfalia camper van, bought from California 4 years ago and fully restored with new paint, interior and rebuilt engine.
The engine was originally a 1700 cc Type 4, since enlarged to 1911 cc with 96 mm barrels and fitted with twin Weber 40 DCNFs and a Eurorace cam. It's quite a peaky engine and with the longer ratio gearbox now fitted, I'm looking to fit a 2 litre crank to give 2056 cc capacity and multi point EFI with 40 mm IDF pattern throttle bodies and Megasquirt to give more low down grunt.
