Engine builder around upstate sc

Not really new to vw's, just a little out of practice
I've got a 76 beetle and a 74 Porsche 914.
I'm looking for a rebuilt 1600cc long block for the beetle....and I am not familiar with the builders in my area. If any of you could point me to a reputable builder in my area, that would be very helpful for me to get started on my project. Thanks
