Hello,
Looking for advise from the experts, I'm restoring a 69 beetle and wondering if I should brace anything. I'm cutting the back half of the car just above the back window, the luggage shelf and inner wheels are all attached.Cut line on both sides of the car are roughly about 1" past the bottom round of side windows. Would like your opinions if I need to weld brace's or not, it seems pretty ridged back there and I can't see it really flexing. This is my first VW Beetle restoration. I have a couple Chevelle's I have done and are my babies. I'm doing this for my daughter because she loves them. Any help will be appreceitated.
Thanks Scott

Re: Bracing body
Oooooh yes! If you are doing that much cutting then brace on all directions including cross bracing.
