So I blew my nice motor (killed the lower end, will remind as a stroker) but for now I'm building a replacement super quick. The replacement is bone stock with new 2.0 heads and improved valve job/springs. The only open question is cam. This is for a fiberglass buggy with dual dells and super low gearing. It looks like the web 494 is the best choice for a fun motor. Is it definitely better than the 86b for this application? I think the old motor has an 86b but it didn't have enough compression to really use it right due to large chamber (914 2.0 heads)
So this motor will have amc 2.0 heads and flat top Pistons. 494 sounds more fun match to me. Any thoughts?

New cam sanity check
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.
