The Ghia's right rear fender well provides an excellent location for a home-made rectangular catch can, vented and fitted with a drain tap through the body.
We had to machine a special adapter fitting that threads down into the alternator stand filler neck, for an -16AN fitting to a reinforced tube to the catch can. We have a dry sump system and do not use the alernator's filler neck to pour oil into the system. We do it at the sump tank.
The BIG -16AN fitting and hose makes a very efficient crankcase breather, at least the equal of the vent off the Porsche 4-cam Spyder engines of the 1950's.
