I've asked on my side of the pond thought I'd ask here too. Most posts on this discuss geometry, parallel at half lift etc, some overall side play at 0.004" is good. Can't find horizontal alignment comment anywhere?
Should you aim for middle of valve stem or just off centre to encourage valve rotation..as a starting point ?

Fyi stock 2lt crank, 73/86 cam TP's swivel feet adjusters in clearanced rockers...in a bus..well it will be soon

How many turns out do you have the adjuster???? It seems to me on the second pic that your adjuster and valve stem are not lined up straight.
My understanding is that is supposed to happen at half lift.
I would make sure you have a least one full turn out on the adjuster to allow for valve adjustments that tighten up over time. 1.25-1.5 might not hurt.
To fix your issue my thinking is you need to confirm the adjuster setting and then probably lower the rocker shaft and adjust the pushrod length probably shorter to take up the slack.
Run it through the full lift and half lift swing again and see if it changes.
As far as your horizontal alignment.....It looks good to me.

I'm working on my geometry as I speak. My new 1.25 rockers are coming out at 1.34-1.38:1.........

I'm not an expert by any means though, so take my advice with a grain of salt.........

Cheers, adjusters are a good couple of turns out I've countersunk the rocker to let them go in a bit.
They hit parallel at about 45% max lift at the moment so I'm going to let that go as it's a bus and they're swivel feet and I don't want to get into a world of pain of shortening push rods..

As to your 'sideways' question.. If i'm reading it right..

The solid spacers you sand down to set rocker end-play on the shafts..

You want to end up with the adjuster a 'bit off-center' so as to promote valve rotation.

When you set them up you'll see them coming out a little skewed to the side,
And that's good.
You don't want the foot of the adjuster hanging off the side of the valve tip (too much),
and you don't want it right in the center, either.

Super-precise, eh?

Long story short is they don't have to be super exact,
But you don't want any centered.

Got em shimmed up..pretty straight at mid lift now too

I even did it in imperial measurements just for you folk over the water!..and to compare to Webcams sheets

Is it normal for exhausts to be 95% of advertised.. all mine were down at 0.4"

Guess it's a rocker arm offset thing...?

Exhaust rockers always lift less.

I am surprised nobody caught this... .. You want your adjusters centered, SWIVEL FEET ADJUSTERS WILL NOT ROTATE THE VALVES.

I was just thiking that the other day when I was thinking about geometry and how these plant their foot then rotate on the ball not travel along top of valve.. but does the spring compression/ decompression cycle not cause rotation too?
