MS-2 goes lean on throttle tip in

Post by nbuscemi »

I can't seem to get this figured out. Fueling at idle, cruise, and WOT are just about perfect however when I tap the throttle car goes lean for half a second and causes a stumble.

Here is a pic of the datalog leaving a parking spot with a few throttle taps in first gear.

Here is my Accel Enrichment settings from the datalog above.

Specs:
1600cc Turbo, Megasquirt 2 V-3, 25 lb.hr injectors, Ford 1.9L throttle body.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I figured it out... User error of course. You'll notice that Acell Enrich starts at 40 TPSdot as found in the datalog. What I didn't realize is that one of the settings (Acell TPSdot Threshold) was set to 200. So basically all Acell Enrich below 200 TPSdot was ignored. I set the value to 30 and minimum RPM to 3000. Hopefully this will put me in the ballpark.

I won't have a chance to test this until this weekend but I'll post up result if I get anywhere.

Here are the results of todays test drive:

As the data log shows, Acell Enrichment is finally kicking in. While still not perfect (tad bit too rich, need to scale down) and WHAT a difference. Throttle response is night and day. Speaking of throttle, mine was sticking a bit (separate issue) so I decided to remove the pedal cluster and clean / lube everything up. Turns out my throttle was only opening 80%. Adjusted the cable and now I have my full throttle range again!

Nick , this is a great vid on how to do it. You have to get your VE table very close though before doing all this. He does mention this in the video.

Awesome video!!! Wish I would have found that a week ago. If it wasn't for these forums / youtube I'd be lost in the sauce.
