Turning left restricted 74 Ghis
74 Ghis convertible has restricted left turning. Appears to be a limiter. Can't see how to adjust without modification. Any insights? Thanks

Re-center the steering box.
Make sure the splined output shaft is centered (equal travel) left and right. This will ensure that the pitman arm has full throw. I did this with the steering column disconnected.

Re: Turning left restricted 74 Ghis
Put the front end up on jack stand. With the steering wheel centered, turn the wheel lock-to-lock and count the revolution each way from center. They should be the same. Next, with the steering wheel at lock each way, check the limiting bolts on the steering box and beam (that contact the pitman arm) and for any other contact. If those aren't your issue, the steering box/pitman may not have been centered prior to aligning it. You would need to address that by centering the steering box/pitman arm, realigning the front end, and reindexing the steering wheel.
