So I went to use my old floor jack the other day and the valve release seemed like it was slipping. I took it apart and the end of the handle has a hex nut shape forged into it and this is connected to this shaft. https://www.hcrcnow.com/images/shop/par ... 967_wm.jpg
That's a OTC part. I thought of trying to build up the corners with solder and or Jb weld but instead I put a weld on all of the corners and ground the sides down until I thought they would be decent. It worked early on so I did not get fussy with it and risk making it worse.
I think it will hold up for the rest of the life of the jack.
