Pinion type identification

Hi,
I’m new to these gearboxes and looking for a 8/35 crownwheel and pinion for a swingaxle gearbox I’m rebuilding.
I have so far found there are (at least) 2 different style of pinion shafts, ones with splined 4th gear with a clip on the end of the shaft and ones with a keyed 4th gear and a nut on the end of the shaft.
I’m looking for the former style of pinion shaft and was wondering if its possible to identify which style (and ratio) is in the gearbox by looking at the gearbox code and the casing numbers?
AB gearbox code should confirm the ratio (4.375)
But would anyone be able to confirm if the part number on the gearcase 001.301.173 would indicate the pinion shaft will be one with a splined 4th gear and a clip on the end of the shaft instead of a nut?
Or am I missing something?
