Hi all. I’ve just got my hands on a used but working 123 distributor. I got it all running and starting looking at the ignition maps installed on it. There is only one called ‘stock svda for Vw ‘ but the max advance is set to 28 BTDC at 3800 rpm.
So may question is does any one have a map I could copy including vacuum advance figures.

You can download presets from their website, although limited options.
The “best” timing depends on the engine specs. You could copy a 009 curve as a baseline and add vac advance on top, if that suits the engine.
I add a bit more advance after the peak torque when volumetric efficiency drops away.

Thanks for the reply, I will go and have a look now at their website to see if i can download some presets
