Sometime last year I was paging through one of my numerous mail order catalogs, and I came across a small book/booklet/pamphlet on rebuilding a VW convertible top.
My '60 Ghia is now running around with a late-model top and frame, and I'd like to switch back to the original parts. Luckily, my dad kept the original frame after he put the newer frame on, but it's in need of a complete re-build.
Now that I'm to the point I can start working on the original top, I can't find the dang ad for the book anymore!
Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, and can point me in the right direction? I already have the Big Blue Bentley repair manual that has some information on this, but if I remember right the book I saw earlier was pretty inexpensive and I'd like to go into this armed with as much information as possible...
Thanks,
-Craig

Sorry, I can't help you. I also have been
looking for instructions to install a new
top on my 1974 Karmann Ghia. If you do find
information would you please let me know.

The Big Blue Bently, ie. Bently Type I 1961-1965, covers top rebuilding in great detail. I know that WCM sells a booklet on top rebuilding, but it is just a copy of the pages found in the BBB.
