Adjusting Ghia Doors

My VW book says my 64 ghia doors are adjustable at the hinges. The local VW man says no. I'm inclined to believe him. Can anyone tell me how to tweak them (not counting the 2 by 4 method)?

The Ghia doors are as adjustable as The Beetles doors. Either get the Big Blue Bentley or an original Ghia Body Repair Manual. You basically unscrew the hinges and move them and/or put in shims. Good Luck

The nuts that your door screws go into float inside of their settings which give you some play to re-adjust your door up/down and the top or bottom in/out.
