Hi this is my first posting with this group I currently own 3 67 Ghia's( 1st just needs to much body work to fix up,2nd parts car no engine that had a better body than the one it was supposed to be parts for (still don't know for sure what I'm going to do with) & 3rd the new one very nice only needs minor repairs)Here's my first ? I recently bought some Porsche Fuchs 914 wheels(5.5 x 15 they're the real ones) I think I'm just going to run some stock size tires 165/15's I've read that I need special lug bolts ? washers? I've seen these wheels on Ghias in pictures so they should fit right on LMK THANKS ROB

I don't know that wheel specifically, but there are different wheel bolts required for different wheels.
Check the stock wheel bolt's fit in the wheels countersink to see if it contacts all the way from the center to the outside edge of the countersink. It most likely will not. It will also be too short. I found some factory wheel bolts from a 924 with alloy wheels to have the right shape sphere under the head and were the right length.

Welcome to the forums, though I can't help you with your wheel question your location caught my eye. Is that Canyon Country CA?? Just curious cause I have an uncle in Canyon Country who has a 65 Ghia that I plan on towing back here to NJ. Good luck!

The porsche alloys used a 14 mm ball seat lug bolt from the factory. They are hard to find and spendy when you do. I just finished installing a set, and used 14 mm threaded studs, and chrome lug nuts.
www.prestigewheel.com has a ton of options.
