help w/ '69 1/2 speedo

i would like to know if my '69 1/2 ghia speedo was backlit green? the reason for asking is that the clock is lit this way and the speedo is just lit with reg. lite. i prefer the green color in that it is a softer lite. also can i put a larger bulb in the instruments to increase brightness and if so what bulb? thanks, george
