I've been messing around with porsche bits and my T2 westy.
I have found a set of hubs and disks which will fit on, they will need an outer bearing spcaer made up to press into the hub but once that is fitted, they will bolt onto the spindle. The caliper is a single-pot from an early 928 and will need an adaptor made up but they won't be difficult or expensive to have made.
The disk is the same thickness as a 928 front which is also the same as come on the 911 turbos. The disk measures 1 1/4 inches thick!! They're crossdrilled aswell.
The only problem I can forsee is getting the hubs. They're from an early 911 Turbo (3.3) and are pretty rare. I have only ever seen this set. I have no idea as to what the disks are from yet but I'll be posting a pic of the setup soon.
The equivalent calipers which would fit on the 911 turbo are the same as Big Reds. They bolt on cross-bolt style, not from behind but vertically with line of the disk. This is serious stopping power.
I have yet to look at the rear brakes but I'll try.
Has anyone else done this?
