every time i wash my VW I get these black streaks that come from my window rubber. How do u keep the rubber from smearing onto your paint job? Some of the window rubber is new and some is old....but they both do it...is there a rubber cleaner or treatment I need to keep this from happening? It really puts a dampening on my usually enjoyable detail.

Hiya VeeDouble,
Try using Zymol's Rubber revitalizer. This stuff is supposed to remoisturize rubber seals. That should help to prevent the "bleeding" you are experiencing. Last time I looked RMMW was carrying the stuff in their catalog and they were only too happy to overcharge you for it.
